Ampelmann explores a world where the iconic Berlin traffic light figure transcends its original role to become a global moral compass. It begins to appear spontaneously, guiding human decisions toward the “right path,” saving lives but eroding individual freedom. As society adapts, dependence grows—until one day, the Ampelmann disappears. Without its signals, humanity once again faces the anxiety of choosing. The script reflects on freedom, error, and the deeply human need to decide, reminding us that chaos might be the birthplace of true living. After all, everyone has crossed a red light at some point—and that’s what makes us human.
This is an experimental shortfilm I’m developing with my great friend Genis Amor, I would say this is mostly a passion project and It is still on development. here you can see the first minute more or less and I was in charge basically of the backgrounds, some of the FX and the 2d compositing.
